1. Cleetwood Cove Trail: This 2.2-mile round-trip hike is the only trail providing access to the lake’s edge. It’s steep on the way back up, but the reward is swimming in Crater Lake or boarding a boat to Wizard Island (seasonal). It is best for active families with older kids.
2. Garfield Peak Trail: At 3.6 miles round-trip, this moderate hike begins near Crater Lake Lodge and climbs to one of the park’s best panoramic viewpoints.
